Iaido Kanji

A few of the students in the Aikido club also practice Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu (MJER) Iaido with a teacher in Clear Lake. As the distance is far, they often have practice sessions without their teacher here in College Station. Sometimes these pratices are before or after Aikido, and sometimes they are at a completely different time and place. If you are interested in participating, talk to one of the pratice leaders in the club.

Iaido/Iaijutsu is a collective term refering to any Japanese martial tradition involving the drawing of and cutting with the sword. For more information on Iaido itself, go here

Our practice group studies Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu under the Clear Lake Iaido dojo. Clear Lake Iaido is a member of the MJER Seitokai which is in turn a member organization of the Zen Nippon Iaido Renmei (ZNIR or All Japan Iaido Federation).
